My Da is a Trooper

So my Da had surgery on his spine on Tuesday. The surgeon said everything went really well, which is good since I will be in his arms before long. They let him out of the hospital on Wednesday, because he was such a model patient. After all, he even brought his own nurse with him.

Here is a shot of Da before surgery

He has not been smiling so much since the surgery, and has been having a rough time of it. He has not had any reduction in the pain or numbness, but that may still come with time. Mum has been sticking by him, and we hope each day will get a little better. Thank you for all your well wishes to him. Keep them coming as they bring a smile to his face. Personally, I just want him to know that I am proud of him for sticking through it and being such a tough guy. I love you lots Da.

Always,

Oh My Many Firsts

Mum and Da worked pretty hard on the look of this thing today, and we would be remiss if we didn't add a word or two.  So I've had my first trip to the Promised Land, and through the crooked lands of my distant relations (Liverpool and Scotland respectively) and had my first English Tea.  No weird little sandwiches but some yummy scones and pastries, I think my sweet tooth with be fully developed by the time I get out of here.  Also went to my first match (and I had to wait 38 years) which was a lot of fun, all the singing and excitement! Da might say that I had my first religious experience as well (Anfield is Hollowed Ground) being so close to that famous and wonderfully green pitch...

And now Da has decided to just put random pictures of me up.  Mum asked if we should do another picture thing. For me it is a no, and it should be to her as well...especially if she really doesn't want to know what sex I am until I come out.

Da says that I must already have a precocious streak since each time one of them nurses presses something against me I start kicking away. (My future footie star) Besides there isn't much time anyway, I'll be out in no time (please just be out on time) if you think about it I have been in here longer than it'll be before I get out.

I also had my first airplane ride (I think I was in my twenties when I first got on a plane, this kid is already spoiled) not really sure what to think about it though...just seemed kinda boring to me.{That is the way we like our airplane rides...no need for excitement}

High Five!

I'm sure there was more, I might have my Da's memory right now (me to little one and it isn't fun is it?) but I am sure that mum will remember and be sure we put the exciting things in. Maybe a few pictures of my firsts would be a good idea, not really sure how much time Da will have to fill up his site (right even unemployed I seem to have most of my time planned...4 doctor appointments in one week...and then next up...surgery...but more on that later) but with "a little luck and a little understanding" we should be able to keep communicating.

Da sent a letter yesterday to my big sister...I really Hope that she reads it and we can meet someday soon.

Under Another Sun/Moon (Whichever You Prefer)

20 November 2011

Just a quick line or two to all my Friends and Family back in the Land of my Future Birth (barring volcano eruptions, freak snowstorms, or any manner of things) to say that we are all getting along marvelously (big word fer such a young 'un{bound to be a smart baby, given its lineage} smart ass is more likely) here in the "Old Country."

(Some would say the "Old Country"" would need funny voice {and they'd be right, I thought spending more time here in Ol' Blighty would  have helped me adapt to the "King/Queen's English, but...}to which I <Remembering that this is the the Older Youngest Knott, and not the Youngest Knott whose profile is on the page as Author!>  would say Fekin Colonists! Only joking, we haven't moved here....Yet.)

I think that this Holiday has been good for Mum and Da, I mean not only to they have to get ready for my arrival {February 23rd our 1/2 anniversary...} (29 February only comes once every 4 years...) but all that other stuff like work, pain, duty, money, bills, and all that as well.  Here we can just be, or so says Mum.

Anyway just wanted to let everyone know that we are well, and thank everyone for their compassion towards  old Bill. I know Mum, Da, and really everyone who ever knew Bill had a special place for him in their hearts. If you have a favourite Bill story feel welcome to post them in the comments here or in email or to Da's blog "Sorry All the Flowers Died" (And yes I promise to keep more up on it, besides changing my profile picture and some of the layout...critics everywhere) so that we can all remember him as he deserves to be...

I'll even have my stories to tell but Da says he has to find some pictures first. (The problem of having 4 computers...1 dead, 1 struggling with life, {a little like Bill at the End} 1 undergoing faulty and perilous re-birth, and the Traveler) which Da hits too many of the wrong keys on. {Good one kid}(Really!?! Both of you now...the keyboard is smaller, especially when you've learned to type on a typewriter! Ha, beat you to all the obvious by admitting the Truth!) Leave it to say though we never met face to face, we had quite a relationship.

Love to you all, tomorrow is onward and upward to Bloody Old Scotland, where more of the Family past Lives on.

Love,
The Littlest Knott

Editor's Note:(Any mistakes are mine and the baby is not at fault, even though i think this keyboard is fit more fer a baby's hands. So please accept my apologies. Maybe this will earn me a much needed "out" as some point where the kid will take the Fall fer I. Oh, and since I won't get to the other blog...

"My Brave Face"

So here we are again with new pictures to show off.  Just so you know...these will be the last ones of mystery me inside of me Mum. Next thing you know (Old Jed's a millionaire...){can't you be serious for one minute?} you'll see me, whoever I am in the flesh (so to speak) and I'll have a name and gender and all the rest.

We really need to start with this picture first, since it will take the most time to explain (you got that right) and me Da did a pretty good job of working it up so that it makes more sense {and is less creepy}(really you'd say that about yer one 'n only) but we'll start with the unmarked one first. The one to the right is what for lack of a better term we'll call it the "Top Shot" That there is my face trying to get a look see at what all the commotion was. You can ask Mum and Da, the first image they saw of me this go 'round was my feet kicking out at the pressure that was invading my space.  (Tis true the more the tech would move the thing {The ultrasound scanner} the wee one would twist and turn.) This was new to me, I only just started  being felt by Mum and here comes this thing following my every move.  (The Missus and I said that the only way we'd find out the sex of the baby would be if it was obvious...we never got that shot, someone was being shy.) Right... Da says I've got his restlessness and Mum's big head, {he's so lovely isn't he?}I think we all know the more I take after Mum the better.

So the one over to the left is the one that Da worked up (This took nearly all night, so I sure Hope it helps clear it all up) So you can tell what is really what. Look back at the previous one now and it should all fit together.

Well, Mum is telling me it is time to go to bed...Just wait til she lays down, and we shall see who is really going to get some sleep. I will post the rest of the pictures soon.

Love,

"What's In a Name..."

12 October 2011

You don't know me yet, but that's okay no one really does anyway (except maybe his Mum, cos he/she is growing inside her and all.-Yes that's me, I volunteered to edit the child's work...for now...So for the present when you see the (parentheticals) that'll be me, if you see the {brackets}that'll be the missus. [Or someone impersonating  impersonating her.] -g) but I just wanted to start this thing a little early. Da says I get to keep this when I grow up (I've me own as you know, <http://sorryalltheflowersdied.blogspot.com> if you haven't had the chance check it out) so way I figure it I've got to find my voice. (Insert funny joke here about finding her/his own voice in a few months when crying at three in the morning. Not really funny though as it will be me and the Missus hearing said voice.) Thanks Da, looking forward to meeting you too. (Sarcasm already! Bloody 'ell. {Really, like you expected something else. He/she is your child.} From both sides now. I don't stand a chance.)

So what is this thing going to be about? Well simply said, "ME!" You know how I grow and what changes with me and the Family. Fact is Mum and Da wanted a more private place to share pictures and experiences, but wanted to make sure that we as a Family can connect from whatever distances may separate all of us.

Here are some pictures of me, there will be more don't worry.

Yes that is my Hand

Good looking little baby aren't I?

So that seems to be it for now.  Oh yeah before you ask about the profile picture, my Da says that boy or girl, pink or blue, green or yellow...I"ll always be a Red (That's right little one, is True... Red through and through.) and I'll Never Walk Alone. I can't even be felt from the outside yet, and he's already got me walking (Don't worry little one, yer Mum and me'll do the walking for now.)
More to follow...
